Overview of renewal trademark in Indonesia
A trademark is protected in Indonesia for 10 years from the filing dates and may be renewed every 10 years. An application for renewal of a trademark must be filed within 6 months before the expiry date of a trademark.
Required documents
- Power of attorney simply signed.
- Statement of ownership of the subject mark.
- Statement declaring that the subject mark is still in use.
- Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.
- The registration certificate (A copy of the registration certificate is accepted).
In case it takes too long to prepare the above documents, you need to make sure to submit your application on time. However, there is no deadline for late renewal. You no need to pay for late renewal.
In brief, make sure you remember the renewal dealine is 6 months before the expiration date (which is 10 years calculated from the filling date). There are no other terms and conditions
