IPOPHL is awarded the prize for alternative dispute resolution contribution
The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) was recognized by the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR) for its major contribution to the development of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a practical tool for resolving conflicts.

IPOPHL is awarded the prize for alternative dispute resolution contribution
On March 7 2022, IPOPHL and the OADR signed a Memorandum of Agreement. On December 13, 2022, on the official website of IPOPHL, this agency announced that they have been recognized for invaluable contribution to ADR.
The partnership between the two organizations paved the way for the implementation of seven collaborative events around the nation, including seminars, training sessions, and mediation simulations attended by over a thousand people.
IPOPHL’s request to renew its accreditation as a public ADR provider organization (APO) in mediation at the same site was approved by the OADR. The renewal was approved after IPOPHL demonstrated conformity with the requirements outlined in the OADR Accreditation Guidelines for APOs and Training Standards for ADR Practitioners.
The award was recently presented to Nathaniel S. Arevalo, Director of the Bureau of Legal Affairs (BLA), and Luwin M. Dela Concha, BLA IP Rights Specialist, during the 2022 National Alternative Dispute Resolution Convention (NADRC).
The IPOPHL roster’s 18 mediators were also recognized as qualified neutrals. This milestone marked the achievement that IPOPHL is the only government agency to gain APO accreditation until now.
