How to register my brand name to sell products on Amazon?

Hello,

I am a FBA seller at Amazon website.I want to register my brand name as a trademark. May I learn how long does it take to be an official trademark owner? I was planning to be owner before but I thought it takes 9 months and its such a lot time for me. Can you please inform me the details that I wonder?

I want to register trademark in USA. But my supplier told me that I will get a notification code after 2 months and I could register that pin integrated with amazon website. Mostly trademark companies says its 9 months at least. Which one is true?

According to Amazon rules what I need is;

”Brand name that has a live registered trademark in uspto.gov”

As I know after 30 days later of my application for trademark, my application will publish and i will receive an application pin number from you. And after 9 months later I will have a trademark certificate.

So my question, Is my trademark marked as a ”live” on USPTO.GOV after 1 month when you send me the pin, or application code?

The Registration procedure of trademark in USA as follows:

Filing-examination (6-8 months)-publication (30 days)-registration.

The whole process takes 9-12 months for a smooth case and based on use. If it is based on intent to use, the time frame may be much longer depending on when applicant files statement of use.

Therefore, after 30 days you could get your application number to use; then after around 8-9 months you shall get trademark certificate if no registered trademarks similar to yours are found.

Kindly note to full-fill the requirements of Amazon, client is required to have live registered mark, which means the mark must be registered and valid now.

Your question: Is their trademark marked as a ”live” on USPTO.GOV after 1 month when you send us the pin, or application code?  No, it is application only, not registered yet. After 9 months if your trademark is accepted for registration, then it shall be “Live” status.

Therefore, we would like to highly recommend you file your trademark application soon to save time.
