Required documents of Trademark renewal in Macau

An application for renewal of a trademark must be made before the date of expiry, but no earlier than one year before that date.

In case you have not yet submitted your renewal application, you can still apply for an extension within 6 months after the expiration date and pay an additional administration fee for late renewal as well.

Required maintenance documents

Within the final 6 months of the registration validity, the applicant should complete the Application Form of Request for Other Actions, and submit the application to the Economic and Technological Development Bureau with the renewal fees.

This renewal process will be conducted within 5 working days from the date the request is made, and the notice of the renewal will be published in the Official Bulletin of Macao SAR. Within 10 working days, after the renewal notice has been issued, the IPD will file and return the renewed registration certificate to the owner.

If the registration has been expired for 6 months or less, the applicant should perform the above procedure for renewal with an additional administration fee. If the registration has been expired for more than 6 months, the applicant will need to apply for the registration again.
